Fees for a Pro Tools certification and course and the completion exam are set independently by the Avid Learning Partner that an aspirant ends up choosing. They have to purchase a coursebook and other study materials, which includes the cost of certification exams and a single retake if required. Additional retakes are chargeable. However, those that attend AIMM, which is an AVID training partner, will benefit from having their certification costs included in their program's general tuition. Exam results are shown immediately when an exam is completed and submitted for evaluation. Unless a test taker is banned for reasons such as fraud or rule violations, they are allowed unlimited attempts to retake the exam.
