Water line break among several stories that shocked Houston this week

A busted 96-inch water pipe Thursday and several other stories shocked Houston this week.

The gusher flooded East Loop 610 and stranded a dozen vehicles, knocking down water pressure throughout the city and forced officials to issue a boil water notice. In other news, a teenage boy is facing charges after his 5-year-old sister was shot.
