Man, 64, found dead in storage building in Aldine

Authorities are investigating the slaying of a 64-year-old man who was found dead in a storage building in the Aldine area.

Jon Hoffman had trauma on his head and throat when he was found about 11 a.m. Thursday in the building on in the 13900 block of Lillja Road, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

Hoffman’s brother told authorities he went to Hoffman’s trailer on the property that morning to check on him. When the brother did not find Hoffman, who is disabled, he asked two neighbors to help look for him on the 2 and a half acre site, the sheriff’s office said.

A neighbor found Hoffman dead in one of the storage buildings on the property.

The brother told investigators he last saw his brother on Tuesday evening.
