PSG released a statement confirming that three players have tested positive for Covid-19. They are the Brazilian forward Neymar, along with Di María and Paredes.
Paris St. German asked the French League to postpone their second match. The reason they stated for the postponement was that the players needed a rest after playing 3 games in ten days in the UEFA Champions League. However, some of the players decided this was an opportunity to extend their vacations and keep on partying. Some players, including Neymar, Di Maria and Paredes extended their stay in Ibiza. Now, it seems as though they have been infected with Coronavirus from Ibiza, the party island.
PSG has officially confirmed that there are three cases of Covid-19 in their squad. Although not yet confirmed, these players are Neymar, Di Maria and Leo Paredes, as reported by L’Equipe.
These three players will now have to follow safety protocols and stay in quarantine for seven days. Thus, they will have very little time to prepare for their first match in the French League against Lens on September 10.
According to the official statement by the club: “Three players are confirmed positive after a Covid-19 test and have undergone the appropriate health protocols. All players and staff will continue to be tested over the next few days.”

All these players have been instrumental in the success of the club in all competitions. Di Maria and Neymar are the backbone of the team and a major threat in the attacking half for the opposition. Leo Paredes is also an important part of the midfield of the club. The fans will be hoping for a speedy recovery for all three of these players. They will also be hoping none of the other players have contracted the virus from these three players. As of yet, the rest of the squad is being tested.
