Electric cars Clean on the move!

The car of the future is, without a doubt, the electric car. Although there are only a few pure electric vehicles on our roads today, that will change significantly in the near future. Because electric vehicles are getting cheaper and cheaper and the range of the electric car is also impressive. The electric vehicle will soon be commonplace. It is worthwhile for private individuals and companies to invest in their own e-charging stations or in individual charging stations for electric cars.

After all, the advantages of this technology are obvious:

  • An electric car is 85% more efficient than a conventional motor vehicle with only 25%. The reason is the heat loss in internal combustion engines.
  • The efficiency losses of the power plants (for e-vehicles) and oil refineries (for conventional vehicles) required for operation are also in favor of e-vehicles.
  • Speaking of operating costs: electric cars are generally cheaper to run than vehicles with combustion engines and can save up to 50% on “refueling” costs.
  • When comparing the average specific total emissions, the bottom line is that an electric car only generates around 30% of a vehicle’s CO2 emissions with a combustion engine. This makes an electric car ( more ) environmentally friendly.
  • For this, it is, of course, necessary to fill up an electric vehicle with 100% green electricity. Otherwise, the CO2 emissions from the fossil power plants included in the German energy mix must be included in the calculation. An e-car could indirectly generate more CO2 than an economical diesel.
  • Another advantage for employees and freelancers is the regulation that came into force on 1.1.2019 for the taxation of electric company cars of 0.5% for private use (vehicles with combustion engines must be taxed at 1%).
