SCHNABELS PROJECT WINS PTI AWARD OF MERIT

Schnabel is proud to announce that our Red Rock Hydroelectric Dam Project in Pella, IA has won the Post-Tensioning Institute (PTI) Award of Merit in the Industrial/Special Application Category. In this tough project, we installed 153 rock anchors up to 173 ft long to support a secant pile wall for the temporary excavation support. The rock anchors had up to 15 strands which were tested to 700 kips. We thank everyone who was involved in this project, General Contractor, Ames Construction and Engineer, Stantec.
