The University of Guelph was as active as any educational institution could have been during a pandemic year, offering socially distanced event solutions to their students wherever possible. In March of 2021, the University of Guelph engaged with the team at Pynx Multimedia to custom create an interactive virtual video dance experience so that their students could tune in and enjoy the program from the safety of their own dorm rooms. Pynx Multimedia was able to custom create graphic content and tie it all into a virtual portal hosted line on the Pynx.ca website so the university could provide a private link to their students. This event was filmed at the Pynx Multimedia Podcast studio in Brantford. We utilized a green screen in the studio for this event to make things interesting. The equipment used to produce this virtual event consisted of a Canon XA55 4K video camera and a Roland VR 4HD video switcher, the audio was tied into the DJs equipment via a Pioneed DJM S9 mixer. This event was streamed through the popular Twitch platform but was embedded on Pynx.ca so we could share a private link to the client.
