Folders and subfolders

To keep things organized in Nimbus Note, save them into folders & subfolders. You can create folders & subfolders according to your needs and find related pages faster.

Creating a folder #

  • Click + in the left panel in the Folders section.
  • Type the name of a folder and press Create.

Creating a subfolder #

There are several ways to create a subfolder:

  • Move your mouse over the folder / subfolder and click on +.
    • Enter the name of the subfolder and click Create.
  • Right-click on the folder.
    • Select Create subfolder.

Creating a Local Folder / Subfolder in Desktop Clients #

You can keep some pages from your workspace on your computer only.
Just mark the checkbox while creating a new folder on your computer ?

  • Check the box next to Local only and click Create.

How to create a local subfolder in desktop client? #

There are several ways to create a subfolder:

  • Move your mouse over the local folder / subfolder and click on +.
    • Enter the name of the subfolder and click Create.

  • Right-click on the local folder.
    • Select Create subfolder.

Local folders (and pages in them) are not synced and are only stored locally.

Renaming and deleting a folder / subfolder #

To rename a folder/subfolder:

  • Right-click on the folder.
  • Select Rename.

To delete a folder/subfolder:

  • Right-click on the folder.
  • Select Delete folder.
  • Confirm the deletion.
  • The folder will be moved to Trash.

Folders that you delete will be moved to Trash.

Deleted folders will be kept in the trash until you empty it.

You can always restore deleted folders from the trash. Simply right-click on the page/folder and choose Restore.

Get/remove a public link on folder #

To get a public link for a folder/subfolder, do the following.

  • Right-click on the folder, select Get a public link -> Copy link -> Done.
  • The folder will have a sharing icon.

  • Right-click on folder.
  • Select Remove public link.

Add color to folders #

With Nimbus Note, you can set a color on any of your folders. This feature is convenient when you can’t remember the exact name of a folder, but you remember its color.

  • Right-click on the folder.
  • Select the desired color.

Collapse folders, move pages & folders #

You can always create an unlimited number of folders and subfolders, and move them as you do on your computer.

  • Click on the arrow icon to show all subfolders.

Note: You can turn any folder into a subfolder except the default folder My Pages.

  • Click on CTRL and hold down the button while selecting desired pages.
  • Move them to another folder.

Sorting folders #

  • Move the cursor over the folder list and click the Sort button.
  • Select the desired sort type.
